Mondrian Suites Berlin am Checkpoint Charlie

The location was central, and the price we paid was very reasonable. I don't think you can expect a palace on those terms and the accommodation was probably at the basic end of things (think standard ibis) but was clean and very spacious. There was wardrobe and shelf space and emough hangers! It is just round the corner from Checkpoint Charlie, which is a 30 minute walk from the Brandenburg Gate. Public transport is good and there were buses and a UBahn stop within a minute or so. There was a little bio supermarket on the next block where you could sit in and have pastries and coffee, which was lovely. The area was much quieter than slap bang in the middle of things but always felt safe at all times of the day.

Huge bathroom with a bath (though most of the other rooms seem only to have a shower). Very spacious. Excellent location, about a 5 minute walk from Checkpoint Charlie, if that. Great to have a fridge with a small freezer compartment, especially when we were travelling with 31°c heat. Nice bar, very aesthetic. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Berlin.

The location is great, everything was very nearby and it's only a couple of minutes walk to the closest bus stop and U train stop. There's a good variety of places to eat nearby, some great bakeries and a Lidl which was really handy! We went during quite a warm week but there was a fan in the wardrobe which helped keep things cooler. 24 hour reception desk was very handy as we arrived quite late, we were also allowed to leave our bags there even after we checked out which was really good as we had a whole day of exploring to do before our plane home.

Very helpful staff, comfortable room and enjoyed having a balcony and kitchenette. Close to good convenience store. Walking distance to Brandenburg Gate (25 mins) with plenty of restaurants and bars along the way. Also loved having access to a washing machine and dryer.

Very well located building - 5 mins from Checkpoint Charlie and close to public transport (but we walked to a lot of places). Supermarket across the street and a quiet neighborhood. Note that shops are closed on Sunday so we were a bit limited on the night we arrived but found somewhere to eat down the street (an Italian/pizza place on the way to Checkpoint Charlie - can't remember the name ). The room was well equipped with everything you could want. We were on the 9th floor with a balcony and a seating area. It was lovely and very clean The lady that greeted us when we arrived to store our luggage, and the same lady when we checked out was very welcoming.
